Wheelchair Service at Tehran International Airport (IKIA)
If you’re looking to book wheelchair assistance at Tehran International Airport, you’re in the right place!
At Iran Tourism Center, we provide the latest and most reliable information on how to book a wheelchair service—whether you’re arriving in Tehran or departing.

Many airlines have agreements with Tehran CIP Terminal, while others do not. So, how can you know if you’re eligible to receive wheelchair assistance through your airline?
You have 3 options:
Check directly whether your airline currently has a contract with the Tehran CIP Terminal.
Contact us — we’ll check it for you free of charge.
Let us handle everything for you! We can book your wheelchair service even if your airline does not have a CIP contract.
How Does Option 3 Work?
If the CIP Terminal cannot provide wheelchair assistance for your airline, our local team is ready to help!
We are based inside the Tehran CIP Terminal, and our staff can meet you at the aircraft stairs upon arrival. From there, you will be transported in an exclusive private car directly to the CIP Lounge.
Once inside the lounge, we will provide you with a wheelchair, and you can enjoy complimentary meals and drinks in a calm, comfortable environment.
When it’s time to leave, one of our team members will personally assist you from the lounge to your car or taxi waiting outside.
What’s the Difference Between Our Service and the Airline’s Wheelchair Service?
If your airline ticket says “Wheelchair Service”, that usually refers to basic assistance through the public terminal, not the CIP Lounge.
Here’s what typically happens:
When you arrive in Tehran, the airline staff will bring you a wheelchair inside the aircraft and assist you only to the ordinary terminal, not to the exit or your car. Unfortunately, this can be uncomfortable and time-consuming.
Our service is different.
While our team cannot enter the aircraft, we will meet you directly at the bottom of the stairs, provide full assistance, and escort you through a private route to the CIP Lounge, ensuring comfort and privacy.
⚠️ Note: If your ticket already includes a wheelchair service, you usually cannot use the CIP Lounge, because passengers who use the airline’s wheelchair must go through the public terminal process.
Wheelchair Service for Departures
The departure process is quite similar.
First, check whether your airline has a check-in counter inside the CIP Lounge—you can always contact us, and we’ll verify this for you!
If your airline does have a CIP counter, simply book the CIP Lounge and wheelchair service.
Upon arrival at the CIP, our staff will be ready to assist you. You can enjoy free meals and drinks while you wait for boarding.
When it’s time to depart, we’ll drive you in an exclusive car directly to your aircraft stairs.
Please note: CIP wheelchairs cannot go inside the aircraft, so you may need to climb the stairs yourself. However, our staff will always be there to help as much as possible.
