You will go from Tehran, the current capital of Iran, to Isfahan, one of the most beautiful countries in the Middle East.

Iranians are generally educated and widely travelled, and they like to exchange ideas with others when we stop on the street for a conversation about something that interests them, so it will likely be these conversations with people we have met while travelling through this gorgeous country.

Continue on to explore the beautiful gardens and shrines located in Shiraz, travelling from there to Shiraz through the ruins of Persepolis (the ancient capital of Persia) which have a lot to offer as far as Beauty, History, Culture, and Religion to get away from modern day life to see how the Ancient Persians lived.

This will be a fascinating, varied and exciting holiday that will attract anyone who has ever wanted to see Arabic culture or wondered what life is like in that part of the world.

Furthermore along with all these wonderful sites, visiting the historical village of Abyaneh where life has continued as it has for the past 2500 years will provide yet another perspective as to how to view our world.

The Naqsh-e Jahan Square has another important historical building, Ali Qapu Palace, which is located on the east side, across from the Sheikh Lotfallah Mosque, and serves as an enormous gateway.

In addition to these beautiful buildings, Naqsh-e Jahan Square also has the famous Qeisariyeh Bazaar, which consists of many unique handmade gifts sold in more than 200 shops.

Persepolis was originally established by Darius I (the first) around 518 BC during the Achaemenid empire period and was the center of Achaemenid government at that time.

The archaeological remains of Persepolis are located upon a large terrace in both a natural and fabricated manner.

The size and complexity of the built architecture at this UNESCO site clearly demonstrates the architectural capabilities of the ancient Persians who constructed this site in accordance with the prevailing Mesopotamian architectural model.

No other ancient sites in the World have similar characteristics as those found at Persepolis (UNESCO designation). Following this visit to Persepolis, you will continue your journey southward towards Shiraz where you will spend one night’s lodging before continuing your travels.
